In many ways our life was good, but I was still overwhelmed and stressed out every waking moment.  In our weekly coaching sessions with Phil, he helped us discover the root causes of the anxiety, and taught us strategies to protect my core being.  As I implemented those strategies, my stress level went down significantly.  Those strategies are becoming habits, and in addition to helping me live from a place of rest, some of them add great richness to my life.  It is significant that Phil taught me very little that I did not conceptually already know at some level. Hello to those that are reading this. It is a blessing to share the influence that Phill made in our lives and to have the opportunity to share it. I’ll start writing about our business. Me and my wife are pastors in a small town called Yoro, in Honduras. We started the church here in 2013, but in 2016 we started a private bilingual Christian school. It’s called Victory Christian School.

Before coming to Yoro, we were working with another church in another town, I was the pastor’s assistant, and my wife was the principal at the school there.

So, you might can see that we didn’t have much experience running a business. But we started anyway. Not easy, and by doing what we can we start facing the normal problems business have. But not feeling comfortable and safe we were feeling that things were getting much more difficult that they were supposed to be.

In 2017 we met Phil, He came to our town to participate in a crusade here and he shared some things about business.

To be honest, I have heard some of those things before but never in front of me with a person that I could see and ask and be corrected in the things that I was doing wrong.

Something happened between us and we got connected. From there, and because he had the initiative, we started having video meetings eventually. He always pouring wisdom and good words of guidance.

After those meetings we got focused to goals not easy to reach, not because its difficulty but because we had to change our way of thinking.

It really took us to a different point of view of our business and own life.

Things are not easy in our country and culture but now we feel more safe and secure on the projects we have ahead. We can see God putting people like Phil in our way to help us get there, for His glory!

From now we are thinking in opening more schools in different towns. Staring next year. Why schools? Because that’s our strength, education and because in schools we have an unique opportunity to touch the young lives.

I believe that Phil’s influence in our lives helped us to see that our school not only as a ministry but that it has to be managed as a business to see it grow.

I have a 90-day in-house drug and alcohol program for men. Before I met Phil, I was in need of some systems to be put into place. Phil has brought a change in my organization with the systems he put in place. My men are receiving more, and they are looking forward to the systems that Phil has implemented in the program. Phil has supported my organization by helping me with a computer and a printer which was so needed. My work is much easier and smoother now. Also, Phil has impacted me and my wife’s life. Now those thoughts are a reality as I’m writing this today it is my wife’s birthday, and I am taking her to a moo pizza place. My wife and I are becoming closer and doing things we did when we first met. Thank you, Phil, for being a friend. My plans for my future are to have systems in place for my men and my teenagers. I am working on a project to work with teenagers from the school system and the juvenile courts.
